Upward Bounce Speed: 35 tiles per second (takes effect on contact with enemy). Minimum Falling Speed: 5 tiles per second (required in order to engage Pogo Sword). Downward Knockback: 35 (very strong knockback). Description: Extends the broadsword beneath the player, launching the player upward on damaging hits. Maximum Flight Speed: 5 tiles per second. Description: Swings the broadsword back and forth quickly enough to cause the player to fly upward. Energy Usage: 320 (drains all energy in most circumstances ^ ). Description: Charges and releases an extremely powerful strike. Description: Swings the broadsword back and forth, hitting enemies on both sides. Description: Engages an energy shield built into the broadsword which absorbs incoming damage. Premade and crafted weapons have specific specials assigned based on their weapon type as well, but they do not change. For example a common rarity broadsword would never have any uncommon specials assigned to it. The attacks available are different based on weapon type and rarity. Special attacks are secondary attack types available for each melee weapon. The secondary special attacks for rare and uncommon broadswords are shared, but only rare broadswords will apply status effects with their primary attack. The elemental damage type of each weapon is indicated by the corresponding icon in the in-game tooltip. These can be damaging (like burning, poison, or electrified) or offer control by impairing enemy movement (like frost). 
In addition to determining the damage type, each elemental also applies a status effect. Some damage types are more effective against specific enemies than others.
Most uncommon and rare broadswords have an assigned elemental damage type.
Third Strike: 1x damage, 25 knockback (somewhat strong knockback). Second Strike: 0.5x damage, 10 knockback (weak knockback). First Strike: 1x damage, 15 knockback (somewhat weak knockback). Fire Time: 0.71-0.90 seconds between 1x-damage attacks (approx. Base DPS: 10.0-11.0 health per second (Common), 10.5-11.5 health per second (Uncommon/Rare).
